From 1 January 2026, the traffic light will be compulsory on the Spanish road network. Every driver in Spain will have to be equipped with a connected traffic light. Drivers from other countries are also obliged to carry a connected V16. The V16 IoT will replace the warning triangle from 1 January 2026.

The LEDguardian ROAD FLARE Signal V16 IoT is a certified, approved and DGT 3.0 network-connected regulatory warning light in Spain. Its use will be mandatory in Spain from 1 January 2026, replacing the current warning triangles.
