Step 1. Start the engine and turn on the defroster. Step 2. Spray the de-icer on the windshield from top to bottom and wait about 30 seconds. Step 3. Depending on the thickness of the ice layer, reapply the product or manually remove the remainder gently, as needed. Step 4. Use the wipers to clear the windshield. Step 5. To improve the performance of the Rain-X® treatment, reapply the product to the windshield and wipe it with a cloth.
